The Agency for Maritime and Coastal Services (Agentschap Maritieme Dienstverlening en Kust) approached BLUE MOON and Odys with a request to help visualize the launch of their newest electric ferry on the Antwerp Scheldt, a first in our country. The agency organized a live stream at the Royal Yacht Club, allowing attendees to witness the inauguration of the electric fleet sailing just a few meters away on the river. Our cameras streamed the images right to the television screens at the clubhouse.
An aftermovie to look back on
Besides supporting the event and the live stream, Odys provided a dynamic aftermovie.
Detailed attention to pre-production is essential. After a location visit, our project manager wrote out the most critical shots. A champagne bottle only breaks once during a boat's christening, so it was essential to perfectly time shots like these.
Our crew flawlessly captured all the event's highlights during - probably - the wettest day of the year. Long live Belgium and its challenges, right?
